Director Message

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going, goes the saying. Market meltdown has thus been an eye opener ” for even high achievers in technical colleges. Although the IT sector is limping back to normalcy and slowly gaining its momentum, learners are in for a rude awakening that opportunities are open only for those who are equipped with sound technical knowledge, training and skills coupled with communicative ability of a very high level. The post- recession scenario too continues to ring alarm bells in the minds of students as they see that most tech students are being summarily branded as “unemployable”. Their knowledge and skill cannot hold a candle to the requirements of either the corporate or core sector. Poor quality is the unacceptable face of the swelling number of engineers being churned out every year. Quality improvement will remain a myth unless we submit ourselves to a system of checks and balances. At SETGOI we explore every avenue to help our students survive this ordeal. The college is very much sensitive to the needs of tech students in this changing backdrop. It has a glittering array of qualified and competent faculty members who supplement their technology-oriented teaching modules with regular assignments, class tests and internal tests designed to provide a benchmark against which the progress of the learners is measured. As quality teaching demands multifaceted efforts, we try our best to strengthen the domain knowledge and upgrade the skills and practical orientation of our students. Our zero tolerance of cheating during exams motivates our students to learn the basics and conceptualize what they learn. SETGOI is poised for further growth in terms of its human resources
